Dr. Shelley Fried has begun a new collaboration with Dr. Sergey Makaroff, PhD, Professor of ECE at WPI. Dr. Makaroff and his team have developed an alternative to conventional FEM software that has several important advantages including high definition and faster speed. The goals of this award are to develop and disseminate the new software package. The project has recently been funded by the NIH/NIMH with Dr. Makaroff as PI and Dr. Fried as a Co-I. We will be using this new package for our microcoil simulations, in both brain and cochlea. Additional grant details can be found here.
